We are pleased to offer both self-contained and B&B accommodation on our farm, which runs down to the Southern Ocean,
near the most southerly point of South Island, New Zealand.
Extreme Edge of South Island
Aeolian means wind-blown and indeed the seaward part of our farm consists of ancient sand dunes tamed by introduced marram
and lupin, now turned into rolling fertile grassland, valuable for the winter feeding of some of Southland's huge dairy herd.
Our self-contained Guest House sits in a large, sheltered, sunny garden. It dates from 1938, which is
old for New Zealand. Until 1990 it was the teacher's house at Fortrose, so has many stories to tell. We have furnished it
with our favourite pieces from our own past, including Scottish watercolours, antique Spode, local histories. There is a cupboard
full of toys, games, cuddly bears and childrens books. Trampoline too.
Facilities include:
* Double Bedroom * Twin bedroom
* Fully Equipped kitchen * Separate bath, shower, two toilets
Our Bed & Breakfast in the farmhouse
offers:
* Our company! * Spacious double bedroom * Continental breakfast * Private bathroom * Dinner by arrangement
